Effect of Aggregate Size and Compaction on the Strength and Hydraulic Properties of Pervious Concrete

Pervious concrete is one of the emerging sustainable materials that has recently gained attention many researchers. The importance pervious mainly depends on its application and a modern integrated approach in which it employed to reduce effects flooding. main goal this experimental analysis study significance aggregate size degree compaction mechanical hydraulic properties concrete. Eleven mixture proportions were investigated by controlling constituents with different fractions. important variables considered sizes, viz., 0/4 mm, 4/8 8/16 four degrees compaction. porosity structure was obtained partial filling voids aggregates cement paste. ingredients also varied their evaluate predominant factor controls based test results. Tests conducted determine such as compacting factor, compressive strength, splitting tensile abrasion resistance, porosity, conductivity. revealed critical factors governing strength concrete; maximum minimum conductivity achieved higher results imply content determining fresh concrete, rather than used.
